This guide contains an inventory of materials contained in the University Archives. Access to archival content is viewable by appointment only, on-site, with the assistance of library staff. Archival materials do not circulate outside the Archives room.

1982 Closed Circuit Television Instruction

Corporate programs: the university conducted a special MBA program for Bechtel corporation employees in San Francisco and other locations including Norwalk and Southern California, and London, England, and Saudi Arabia. And MBA program was available to personnel of the 86 Bay Area corporations that are members of the association for continuing education period in this latter program instruction is by closed circuit television, with two-way radio communication between instructor and students, using the facilities of the Stanford University instructional television network.

The Division of Bay Area Programs was able to design and administer in-house programs to meet the special training needs of business, government, and professional associations. In-house programs lead either to certificates or to regular academic degrees.

1987 Executive M.B.A. (EMBA) Program

The executive M. B. A. program, a special curriculum administered by the Graduate School of management, was designed for experienced managers who seek to integrate a full-time MBA program with their regular working schedules. The early seminars were limited to a maximum of 20 participants and are held every other week on Friday afternoons and Saturdays over five-semester, 20- month period.
