Borrowing Materials

Circulating Materials

  • All current Golden Gate University students, faculty, staff, and Alumni members can borrow circulating materials.
  • Circulating Materials can be checked out from library service desks. 

Business & Law Resources

Business resources are completely online Law resources are available electronically and in print, depending on the collection. Some circulate.
Business course reserves are fully online and the few small collections of print do not circulate. Law course reserves are mostly in print and must be checked out and returned from the area in which they are located.

Miscellaneous Policies

  • Conduct Generally - The library strives to provide a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment for study and research. Any behavior which is deemed disruptive to the orderly operation of the library is not permitted.
  • Food & Drink Generally - Food and drink are permitted in the library, but please use discretion. Under no circumstances should consumption of food or drink interfere with the ability of others to conduct their work.
  • Cell Phones and other devices - Cell Phones and other devices are permitted in the library as long as they do not disrupt the ability of others to conduct their work.
  • Group Study Rooms (Plaza & Basement levels) - There is a two-hour time limit for each room, although they can be renewed for another two hours if no one else is waiting. A "group" consists of two or more persons.
  • Computer Lab Use (Basement level) - Use of the computer lab is restricted to Golden Gate University students only. No food or drink is permitted in the computer lab.
  • Noise Zones -- The Learning Commons (Main level) routinely has a higher noise level than the lower two levels. For those seeking a conversational level of noise it is best to choose the Learning Commons or a study room. For those seeking quieter areas choose the Plaza and Basement levels of the library spaces. It is imperative that respect for all library user's ability to do their work be observed.
