GGU's University Libraries combine resources and services in a single convenient location to support student, faculty, and staff research across all programs of study and disciplines.

Library Access

GENERAL ACCESS

Library spaces, including the Learning Commons, are open to Golden Gate University students, faculty, staff, and select other groups.
All patrons entering the Library must use a current Golden Gate University ID to enter through the security gate.
*Alumni should ask for assistance at the service desk on the right when entering.

ALUMNI ACCESS 

  • See Alumni Services tabs for specific Law School and Business Schools Alumni Services information.

  • All GGU alumni with a valid GGU Alumni Library Card may use the libraries free of charge following graduation.

  • Student ID Cards are converted to Alumni Library Cards.

  • Alumni without ID cards are issued an Alumni Library Card (requires application).

  • Costs apply for replacement cards.

  • Group study rooms are for currently-enrolled students only. 

GUESTS

  • Students, Staff, and faculty may bring guests to the Library but not on a continual basis. 

  • Guests are required to sign in and should not remain in the library without their host.

ELECTRONIC ACCESS

  • A variety of online resources of interest to researchers in available for use in the library, but not remotely.
  • Access to fee-based databases is restricted to current university students, faculty, and staff.
  • Access to most legal databases is contractually restricted to law students and law faculty. Users will be prompted to log in with their last name and GGU Law ID number (found on your ID card) whether accessing these databases from on or off campus.
  • Wireless Internet access is available for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Guest WiFi is available to Alumni when using the library.
  • The Library Catalog and the Digital Commons database provide links to available online documents.
