Getting started with Mendeley Web
A Mendeley account allows you to access many of Mendeley's features and services online, without the need to install any software. Access Mendeley from your browser - without installing software.
Using the Citation Plugin
In addition to helping you manage your materials and organise your research, Mendeley can significantly speed up the process of writing your own papers. The Citation Plugin allows you to quickly and easily cite materials that you’ve added to your Mendeley library - as well as generating a full bibliography of the materials you’ve referenced in the paper.
Using Mendeley Groups
In addition to organising your personal research library and helping to write new papers, one of the key benefits of using Mendeley is the opportunities it offers for collaboration and discovery. Groups allow you to create and join teams.
Mendeley Private groups

Private groups allow you to share the full text of PDF documents you add to the group. This allows other group members to look at exactly the same materials as you - which is very useful when working together on a project. Mendeley Desktop offers a number of additional features which allow you to work directly on the same papers at the same time as your collaborators.
Using Mendeley CSL Editor
The citation style language (CSL) editor is a powerful tool hosted by Mendeley which allows you to quickly and easily modify a citation style. Citation styles control the way in which your references appear in a document you author using the Mendeley Citation Plugin. Mendeley provides access to nearly 7000 citation styles which already exist, however you may want to tweak a style to meet your own requirements.
