Supply Chain Resources: Articles & Reports

This guide lists eBooks, databases, journals, videos and websites to use when researching a company's supply chain.

10-K Reports

10-K reports (20-F for foreign companies) are available in OneSource and EDGAR databases.

Open the PDF, HTML, or Microsoft Word document and use the Find feature (CTRL-F) to search the document for the words suppl or distrib to locate instances of discussion about suppliers and distribution.

Journals

When searching within journals, you can try to restrict your search results to a specific company by typing its name into the search box. You can also try a topic-specfic search by entering the following (sample) search terms:

  • "Supply Chain" AND company name
  • "Supply Chain" AND COVID-19
  • "Supply Chain" AND coronavirus
  • Procurement AND company name
  • Purchasing AND company name

Note: when accessing Harvard Business Review or Modern Materials Handling, you must click the Search within this publication link to get to the search box.

When searching in Purchasing Magazine, also try searching for "Medal of Professional Excellence" to see if your company was a winner of the publication's award. If so, the article may provide information describing how the company's supply chain is structured to meet the needs of the company.
