Alerts & Feeds: EBSCO Alerts

This guide explains how to set up common "push technologies" such as Google Alerts, RSS feeds, and alerts in library database.

EBSCO Alerts and RSS Feeds

Create alerts and RSS feeds in a library database

Here is an example of a search alert set up in the library's EBSCO (Multi-Database Search) database:

  1. Start by searching for something... in this example, I searched bananas.
  2. Then, click "Share" located on the right-side of the screen, just above the search results.
  3. A pop-up window will appear - with options to create a RSS feed or an email alert.

For additional information, click on “Help” located in the upper right hand corner of the database.
